The program will begin with knowing your deadlines. Applications must be received by no later than midnight on Friday, April 10, 2020. Once your application is submitted, you will receive notification of acceptance into the program by no later than Friday April 24, 2020.
Students will be rotating through the various specialties listed below, on a scheduled basis, over the course of 6 weeks. Students will be expected to work approximately 25 hours per week, based on the mentor’s schedule. Please understand that this program allows for flexibility however participation during our scheduled hours is mandatory. Please also understand that there will be plenty of opportunity to spend extra time at various specialties throughout the program. For example, if there are any early surgeries, patient emergencies, or if there is a birth, schedules may change. Additionally, throughout the 6 week program we will have outside field trips, such as cadaver lab at striker, suture lab, blood draw lab, robotic surgery lab, and/or pharmaceutical dinners.
NOTE: Program participants will be required to write a short write a paper on a topic to be determined and present a 10 minute lecture to your peers, once, during morning rounds.

- 5/1 – Deadline for student to confirm participation
- 6/12 – Orientation
- 6/15 – Program begins (6 weeks / 4th of July week off)
- 8/6 – Graduation dinner/reception
